1. a corpse supposedly brought back to a trancelike condition resembling life by a supernatural power. People who practice voodoo believe in zombies.
2. a supernatural power or force that supposedly makes the dead move and act. This power is alleged to be possessed by certain practitioners of West Indian voodoo.
3. the python god in certain West African voodoo cults.
4. the snake god of voodoo, derived from this.
5. an alcoholic drink of several kinds of rum, fruit juice, sugar, and brandy, served very cold and in a tall glass.
6. Slang. a very stupid, lethargic person.
